ORIGIN: This species is a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte that is found in Myanmar, Thailand, southwestern China, Laos and Vietnam in forests on tree trunks at elevations of 300 to 1500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: This species is a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte that is found in Myanmar, Thailand, southwestern China, Laos and Vietnam in forests on tree trunks at elevations of 300 to 1500 meters with tufted, fusiform, sulcate, shiny purplish brown, stems carrying 1 to 4, subterminal, ligulate or oblong, thick, papery, dull green, acute leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a very short, 1 to 4 flowered raceme with minute bracts and carrying waxy, long lasting, fragrant flowers that arises from the nodes near the apex of both leafy and leafless canes.
