Found in Borneo in seasonal swamp forests in partial shade at elevations below 1000 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte on moss covered rocks with a short, few leafed stem carrying cylindric, caniculate leaves and blooms in the spring on an erect to ascendant, to 7 flowered, to 14" [35 cm] long, inflorescence carrying fragrant, long-lasting flowers held close together.
